Each holiday season, The Salvation Army engages in the tradition of "staffing the kettles" to promote the plight of the needy in Smith County. This practice is critical to The Salvation Army's cause, as the money it raises supports the organization’s programs for the rest of the year. Thanks to the generosity of thousands of Smith County residents and businesses, The Salvation Army can continue to provide valuable programs.

During the holidays, children and senior citizens receive gifts through our Angel Tree program. Clothing, food and other items are also donated to individuals and families.
